1-02-07 - Rômulo Signs with Cruzeiro

Rômulo signed a three-year contract with Cruzeiro, making his departure from Olímpico official. The striker had desired to remain in Porto Alegre but Grêmio was unwilling to match the Foxes’ offer. The Tricolor will now begin 2007 without its three leading scorers of 2006: Rômulo, Herrera and Pedro Júnior. Together, they combined for 32 of Grêmio’s 64 goals, accounting for half of the Tricolor’s scoring output.
