1-31-07 - Grêmio Turns Down Offer for Lucas

Grêmio turned down a €6 million offer by Russia’s Lokomotiv Moscow for star midfield Lucas, South American champion with the Brazilian Under-20 National Team this past Sunday. Lokomotiv did not agree to a stipulation that would keep Lucas with the Tricolor until the end of the Libertadores Cup.

“Lucas is going to contest the Libertadores Cup with Grêmio,” confirmed team president Paulo Odone.
