2-23-07 - Grêmio Signs Two New Reinforcements

Grêmio announced two new reinforcements on Friday. Kelly, whom the Tricolor had been chasing throughout must of the off-season, was finally released from his contract by his Egyptian club, Al-Ain. He will arrive in Porto Alegre next Thursday to sign a contract with Grêmio.

The other new recruit is no stranger to Porto Alegre. Paraguayan fullback Gavilán has had two stints defending the colors of Internacional. He is the second former Inter player to join the squad this year; the other is Edmilson, who played with the Colorado in 2005.
